If you need to use another form of payment, you must return to a transport and motoring customer service centre on a weekday during opening hours to get your licence. If you pass a driving test on a Saturday, you can pay with EFTPOS and get your licence on the day. You must make your booking at least one week before your test date. If you are over 25 you don’t need to complete a learner logbook before booking your test. Training & knowledge requirements

Our online tests use a secure testing platform, with online proctoring (test supervision). Scroll down for more information on how we schedule tests and which tests are available online or in person. As a result, some test dates or available seats shown below may have changed. To select a test date, you will need to log in to your myNAATI account again. You will be invited (via email from ) to select a test date once your application is approved. You will receive an email once your application is processed (generally within a week). To apply for the CCL test, you will need to create an account in our customer portal, myNAATI, and submit your application from there. NAATI is not able to amend the expiry date of a credential that has already been issued.

Prepare for your test

You will not receive a refund for non-attendance or cancellations after the scheduled start time. You are eligible for a refund of 75% of your test fee if you cancel your test at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled start time. You will need to reject your test session in myNAATI and then select another test date.

If these conditions don’t apply to you, you can take the DKT online. You can make a booking to take the Driver Knowledge Test (DKT) in-person at a Service NSW Centre. Take the online test as many times as you need for the one test fee. Most of our tests are delivered online only to allow for equitable access for test candidates.
